MitSoft TSP

MitSoft TSP services are designed for owners and developers of information systems and document management systems that require functionality for signing and authentication using electronic signature tools. The services define a set of operations that enable the use of various electronic signature creation devices.

Using MitSoft TSP services eliminates the concerns associated with the use and operational maintenance of low-level public key infrastructure. Low-level public key infrastructure is the most volatile and therefore requires frequent adjustments: various e-signature service providers and their changing terms of service, evolving hardware for stationary e-signatures and the corresponding software, and so on. MitSoft TSP abstracts these differences and provides a universal set of operations for signing and user authentication.

MitSoft TSP provides a set of operations implemented as REST-style web services. Operations are invoked using standard HTTP requests, passing their parameters and receiving structured responses in JSON format. They can be easily integrated into information systems, regardless of their implementation framework, programming language, or user interface.

It should be noted that operations for creating a qualified electronic signature use digital signatures (digests), not electronic documents. To create an electronic signature using TSP operations, you must first prepare the necessary data hashes yourself, and then embed the resulting signature into the electronic document being processed in the required format.

If your information system needs to create and sign electronic documents, we recommend using the Signa SDK libraries or the Signa Platform API services.

Stationary electronic signature devices include smart cards (e.g., ID cards) and USB cryptographic keys. To sign using a stationary electronic signature device, you must install the appropriate drivers on your computer:

• When signing with an ID card or employee ID card, install the drivers available at:

  We recommend using the instructions provided on that page for installing the drivers and preparing the card. You will also need to use a card reader and install the reader drivers.
• When signing with a cryptographic USB device issued by the State Enterprise Centre of Registers, install the appropriate drivers available at: https://www.elektroninis.lt/en/prepare-pc.
• If you are using a smart card or USB cryptographic device issued by another EU country that contains a qualified digital signature certificate, use the information provided by the issuer of the device to download the necessary driver installation package (you must install drivers that support the PKCS#11 protocol).

When signing with stationary electronic signature devices, the Signa Browser Extension is also used. If it is not installed on the user’s workplace, the user will be prompted to download and install it the first time he or she attempts to sign. The Signa Browser Extension can be installed on Windows, macOS, and Linux operating systems and used with all browsers installed on those systems.

The same fee applies to transactions for authentication and creation of qualified electronic signatures. Depending on the electronic signature creation device used and the monthly usage, the fee per transaction is (prices exclude VAT):

• Using Mobile-ID and Smart-ID – from 0.10 EUR to 0.04 EUR
• Using LT ID – from 0.08 EUR to 0.04 EUR
• Using stationary electronic signature devices – from 0.04 EUR to 0.01 EUR
