Signa Platform, a system for creating and verifying signed electronic documents

2025 September 19

The usability of software or services for creating and verifying signed electronic documents is determined by the design principles that minimize the need for specialized knowledge, both in the IT and documentary fields. To achieve this goal, an intuitive Signa Platform user interface has been designed and implemented, and solutions have been implemented to minimize dependence on changes in related components in order to avoid the situation "it worked - it doesn't work anymore".

The main functionality of the Signa Platform system:

  • Support for all permitted document content and electronic signature formats, as defined by the eIDAS regulation and the Baltic electronic document specifications;
  • Support for all stationary, mobile and server (remote) signature creation tools;
  • Batch signing of mixed formats;
  • When the Ministers of Defense of Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia had to sign a joint memorandum in the Lithuanian, Latvian and Estonian national electronic document formats ADOC, EDOC and BDOC, they used three different local signing tools. Signa Platform enables the same result with a single signing action automatically generating three copies of the memorandum in the ADOC, EDOC and BDOC formats;
  • and others.
